We work at the intersection of shop operations, machinery, software, networks, remote support, and business continuity.

Our role is not to make technology more complicated. It is to help woodworking leaders understand what their operations have become dependent on, where the gaps may exist, and what can be done to reduce avoidable disruption.

We help woodworking manufacturers ask better questions about the technology behind production.

The woodworking industry is becoming more connected every year.

CNC equipment, production software, cloud platforms, remote support, and automated workflows are creating incredible opportunities for shops of every size. But they are also creating dependencies that are not always obvious until something stops working.

A network issue can become a production issue. A software failure can delay an entire job. A remote-access problem can prevent a technician from helping when the shop needs support most.

Most shops know which machines are critical. Fewer understand every technology dependency behind those machines.

Sawdust+Cyber exists to help the industry pursue innovation without creating fragile operations underneath it.

Everything is fine until it isn’t. The goal is to have the right conversations before that moment arrives.

Every new connection can improve productivity, visibility, and support. It can also create another system the shop must understand, protect, and recover.

The real concern is not simply the loss of data. It is what happens to production, delivery schedules, customers, and revenue when critical technology becomes unavailable.

Leadership, operations, IT, machinery vendors, and software providers cannot continue working in separate worlds. Resilience requires shared understanding and clearly defined responsibility.

Most woodworking companies do not have enterprise budgets or dedicated teams of engineers and cybersecurity professionals. The guidance must reflect the reality of the shop floor.
